When to announce???

I'm 11 weeks and have announced to close family and friends and am wondering when I should tell everyone else. I've had many friends announce their pregnancy only to end up losing the baby. I didn't find out I was pregnant with my first until 18 weeks so I knew I was in the clear and told everyone. I'm not used to this 1st trimester business!

I think I'm going to wait until 14 weeks. I don't want to do it at 12 and I don't like the number 13....so 14 it is!  :) Thanks again!

I told my parents and work at 16 weeks juss to be on the safe side. I heard after you reach your second trimester, your risk of having a m/c drops significantly, so that's why I waited a lil' bit after I reached the 2nd trimester.

They usually say its safe after 12 weeks end of first trimester. My dr. Said that its fine to announce once u see and hear the heart beat because the chance of miscarriage decreases great when there is a heart beat.
