I have been to the doctor and they have diagnosed me with PCOS. They said they wanted me to get on clomid when it was a year... So I will probably get on it soon because they do not like how irregular I am. They want me to hurry and get pregnant and get back on BC. But I would really rather get pregnant on my own. My mother is as irregular as me and she had 4 children. But its not working out very well for me. But I just have not gone back into the doctors.
I agree with GRose.
Doctors can prescribe something to help you regulate. Or perhaps an underlying issue is going on to cause such irregularity and with a doctor's help you'd be able to know what it is and if it is keeping you from becoming pregnant.
have you seen a dr about how irregular your periods are? most women get pregnant within a year of trying but i'm guessing how irregular you are is the cause in this case. the fertility monitor sounded like a good idea to me.
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year now and so its kind of hard to know when the 2 weeks or 19 days after unprotected sex is to take a HPT...
You can test as early as 2 weeks after unprotected sex but it might take more like 19 days to get an accurate result.
Well that would definitely something that you would want to see a doctor about. OPKs or a fertility monitor would be the best (cheaper in the long run than opks). Maybe a doc could put you on clomid to help regulate ovulation so your chances could be as good as anyone else's. Good luck! :)
