Please, definitely contact your OB. I went through this too. Your OB should have a screening to see if it is baby blues or PPD. And if you think it is more than baby blues, it very likely is. Please do not isolate yourself.
I would be happy to talk with you, if you wish. You are very brave for admitting this and for wanting help.
And some medications are safe if you are nursing. Listen to your doctor and I promise it does get better.
Steph
Please contact your OB/GYN. They deal with women experiencing PPD regularly, and if they aren't personally able to help, they will almost certainly have resources to refer you to.
My son is 1 month old today. So I'm sure it's not baby blues. I've had these negative thoughts for awhile now.. Sometimes I'll pretend to act on it but I'm too scared to kill myself.. Idk what else to do
Yes call your Dr and let them know ASAP.
How old is you baby hun... its sometimes "babys blues" everyone goes through it in the first 2weeks. Its all your hormones going back to normal and your sleep deprived . Speak to a doctor but things will get better i promise. I went through it with my first just please dont take any pills that are pescribed
So I don't contact my ob gyn? I want someone who I can talk to in person..
I find it better to talk to my partner he's very understanding dunno what I'd do without him
I'm struggling with it as well. I'm just starting counseling for it. It's ok to feel this way as long as we aren't acting on anything. Do you have any hot line numbers so you can talk to someone now?
I feel like a bag of ****... I have thoughts of suicide but I don't plan on killing myself. I wish I would just die. I feel lost with no sense of direction
Call your Dr hun. How are you feeling? If you don't mind me asking
I'd say call both. I know my midwife and the hospital has counseling.
