Who is the father

I found on June 5th that I was pregnant. I had sex on April 21st and April 25-26th with an old friend (friend 1). I then had sex with my now current bf on May 2nd and 3rd and days after. My LMP was April 13th and usually come every 24-27 days. I took a pregnancy at the hospital on May 9th and it was negative. Is friend 1 the father or my current bf? I told both of them but I kind of excluded friend 1 because the test came back negative and it wouldve been over 2 weeks if we had concieved together. IDK. Im confused. Please help.

When you find out the due date you can figure about when you got pregnant. Due dates can be off a little bit though. But that would help to figure out when you got pregnant and who would be the father. The dates are really too close together though. You should get a DNA test. I don't know but I've heard they can do one while you're pregnant. Talk to your doctor about it.

If you have regular cycles, then my guess you most likely ovulated sometime between April 27-May 3.  If you ovulated at beginning of the week, then it is most likely 'Friend 1, if you ovulated at end of week, then it could be your BF.  A urine pregnancy test on May 9 would not necessarily have come back positive if your cycle was 30 days.  So it is hard to say, it really could be either.

My GUESS would be Friend 1, but of course that is just a guess.

Did you not use protection with either one?

more likely that it was your current bf.  I say this because I had my period on April 18th...and was ovulating on the couple of days from the 2nd of May on.  I am pregnant...and didn't get a positive HPT until May 21st.

Of course....you can't be sure without a DNA test.  Sorry you are in this predicament.

You can have an amniocentesis early or late in pregnancy (I've known people to have done both). I would bring it up at your next appointment and let them know you'd like a DNA test performed. They'll be able to give you more information. And because the amnio carries a risk of miscarriage you could ask if there's a less invasive way to have a DNA test done before the baby is born.

Otherwise you could just wait until they are born to do it, too.

My period shouldve been due on the 6th of May which is why I had the test on the 9th. How early can you have a dna test in the womb? Thank you guys so much.

they can test dna in the womb, but there is an associated 1% chance of a miscarriage with this procedure. there is no risk testing dna after birth.

if it was a blood hcg test on 9th, it's more likely your current boyfriend is the father. if it was a urine test...it's still only 13 days after you had sex with the friend and a negative pregnancy test at that stage would be no surprise, even if you were pregnant. it's quite common not to have a positive pregnancy test until a few days after your period was due. gotta say, it's more likely you were ovulating when you slept with the friend but there is no way of knowing, which is why we've said a dna test is the only way to know

I had my monthly cycle on the 13th of April. If we concieved on the 21st or the 26th of April wouldnt the test on May 9th have been positive since it was done at a doctor's office and their test levels for HCG are greater? Whereas if I concieved on the 2nd or 3rd it wouldve been too early to tell.

yeah, there's no sure way to know without a dna test. no one knows when you ovulated so...

It could be either man - if you conceived on April 26th its possible a HPT would have been negative on the 13th April.  Only a DNA test can determine paternity.
