Why Oh Why Is It So Hard To Chose A Name?

Ladies! I am in a pickle im trying so hard to find a name for our daughter, DH and myself cant agree on anything he likes traditional i like unusual all i can find is name places and gemstones!! Its driving me mad. I like to be organised and having a baby no name is driving me nuts.

I do want something less traditional than say Ellie, Sophie, ect.
I dont want anything hyphened with May, Mae or Rose ect.
I do want a name that has a nice meaning, i know there are a few which are unusual but have the meaning 'bitter', so thats a no go.
I dont want anything that i cant pronounce, like aiofe ect. I want to be able to look at the name and say it correctly.

Im being so fussy but she will have this name for the rest of her life, or until she is at least old enough to change it by deed poll. Lol!

Girls names are the hardest! I chose Irish names for my children. I went with kiera for my daughter.

I'd look into historical names, either in your family or not.  Some are unusual without being ho-hum traditional, if you know what I mean.  For example, I have a friend named Lael.  Look up your family tree, and look up names in your heritage base or neighborhood.  A friend in the American south says girls there often are given their mother's maiden name as a first name (an example is the writer Bailey White).  If you have a pretty maiden name or your mom or grandma does, consider it.  In other words, you can be historical without being usual, and some names with historic associations are very pretty.
