Why didn't I get the RHOGAM shot?

My first pregnancy I did not receive the RHOGAM shot, I was also anemic. I am pregnant again and my doctor is saying I have to get the shot since my blood is negative O. Is there any reasons why I would my first OBGYN would not give it to me. I don't know if my blood type is really that because Quest Diagnostic at first stated they could not find my labs it was listed under someone else's name, and a duplicate patient number in the system. They would not give my labs from my first pregnancy in 2011 to see if it matches up.

So I did contact my previous OB my 1st pregnancy the Dr. said I didn't get the shot because I am O+.

Yes I did carry my first full term.

The reason behind the Rhogam shot doesn't affect the the first pregnancy. It affects the ones to follow.

Did you carry your first baby to term without the Rhogam shot?

Thanks! It's not on my birth certificate but I'm going to follow up with the old OB to question why.

I got it with my first and im gettingit with my second my blood typeis o- eaither your last ob qas careless or there is a mistake you are suppose to have it at 28 weeks each pregnancy your blood type should be on your birth certificate and your hospital papers from your last baby .
