abdominal ultra sound didn't show anything

MY OB did an abdominal ultra sound in ER and by my calculations I would be about 8 weeks, my bladder wasn't full and he did not see a sac.  Is this normal or am I pregnant?  I have all the symptoms but my blood work was negative...my glands on my aerolas are quite large and have multiplied and are more prominent.  I was spotting about 2 weeks ago but did no pass any clots and didn't have severe cramping. With my first child I tested negative as well.

If you are 8 weeks they would have been able to see something on an ultrasound and a blood test wouldn't give you a false negative unless you were too early for it to pick up. I honestly don't think you are pregnant.
