absolutly gutted :-((( IVF update

Ok so the ladies who know me will know i had my IVF appointment today so the doc has said my file has to go up infront of the consultants at the next meeting as Iv had 2 pregnancys in 2years and IVF is normally only funded if you have no pregnancys within a 2yr period so he reckons there going to ask me to wait 6-12months :-(((( Im sooo gutted i cant explain then to top it all off he kept looking at a page in my file n i said whats that he said ohhh you have "slightly" low ovarian reserve he said mines 11.63 and someone my age the normal is 16 im like WTF!! Iv been seeing specialists now for 4years and no-one has ever mentioned this, also i dont know where theyve got this from yeah they did a blood test last year but it wasnt on a particular day of my cycle or anything so im a little confused as to that but then again it would make total sense why between the ages of 12-18 i only had a period every 2 months and now sometimes there 29days and some are 65day cycles I cant believe after all this time theyve sprung this on me so im now looking to google for answers as i want to know how this affects my hormones ect.
So just a quick update for you ladies

aww thanks hun it means alot... I cant believe them sounds daft but cost me a tenner on the bus i had 2 set off at 11am for a 1.30 appt he didnt see me until 2.30 and i was out by 2.45 i was soo annoyed and upset by the time i come out i just couldnt believe it all he did was ask me what pregnancys id had(which he already had in my file), said he couldnt decide it had to go up infront of consultants, he wouldnt have said anything about the ovarian reserve if i didnt ask---i spoke 2 the nurse last week and told her exactly the same i dont see why they dragged me to the other side of Manchester....Probs my own stupid fault for getting my hopes up :-((( Story of my life lol

Thanks for your replys ladies its much apreciated!!!

No Joy iv had no full term pregnancys, I had a m/c @ 6wk2d in 2006, ruptured ectopic Oct 2008, ectopic dec 2009 and m/c @ 5wk6d in Nov last year. All he said was IVF is only funded for no pregnancys in a 2year period i said i didnt understand as i was going to start treatment in Nov when i found out i was preg and only had an ectopic 10months before and everything was fine for me to start treatment he didnt have an answer he just said the board of consultants would decide and his recomendation would be to wait 6-12months so i really cant see them disagreeing with him to do it sooner. But this thing about low ovarian reserve has thrown me more than anything im only 25 i should be thriving really.

Try posting this in the Fertility Forum as well as most women over there are going to understand in more depth. The question is definitely welcome here; just encouraging you to increase your responses by copying and pasting this over there as well.

In answer to your question - I also don't know a whole lot about IVF. I mean I know women who've gone through it and I've followed their journey but a lot of it is a lingo I just don't know. These pregnancies you've had the last two years; were they full-term or miscarriages? I would think if you had miscarried you'd still be a candidate for IVF.

I don't know anything about IVF or other fertility treatments, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're having such a hard time.  I hope things start to look better for you!
