Sorry I looked up CVS... Are these become typical in pregnancy testing?
I would think that the newest u/s would be the best one for accuracy... Some babies grow slower and some faster... I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have to ask what is a CVS?
Everyone has a cyst on their ovary in early pregnancy it is called a corpus luteum and it supports the baby until the placenta takes over. So dont worry about it :)
Thanks everyone! Ok so I guess based on that I would be 11w5d which means Im 2 days away from 12 weeks...yay!! I havent lost the nausea yet which kind of stinks but hopefully there will be releif soon...
jrobertson..I had a cyst too in my left ovary that disappeated somewhere around 8-10weeks my Dr told me that it was a good healthy sign of pregnancy. Good luck!
Ok so to answer your question a little more I just got back from my OB interview with the nurse. She told me that they go by the due date of your LMP unless your ultrasound is more than 1 week off. Hope that helped you a little bit.
I had my first ultrasound at 9w2d...thinking I was about 10w5d! I go in for another ultrasound at 18 weeks (around march 12th) so we'll see which one is more accurate! Best of luck to you though :)
I had my first ultrasound done last week and it was like 4 - 5 days behind what I thought it was. I was so worried at first. I go back next week for another ultrasound (have a cyst on my right ovary) so I am nervous for that. Good luck.
A difference of one week will be fine. There is some leeway with the testing. Since both u/s are in the first trimester it is hard to say which is the most accurate. But generally the earliet is the most accurate.
I would go with the 2nd one simply becuase you were further along and there was more to measure and also it correlates with your dates and what you were thinking. Are you considered high risk is that why you are doing CVS? Or is it just something you chose to do?
