Thank you ladies i will def cell my doctor and try the natural thing as well ...i appreciate the input
Claritin was ok'd for me. If you want to try something natural, if you have access to local honey it is supposed to help with allergies as well. I use it in my tea.
The only reason allegra isn't preferred is that it is a class c, meaning they don't know what out could possibly do. There isn't enough research.
Loratadine aka clairatin, is a class b which is preferred and hadn't shown any effects in medical studies.
My doctor told me that zyrtec and claritin are ok but not allegra. If you perfer natural remedies, chamomile tea, vapor rub, hot chicken broth with a little cheyenne, lots of fruits and veggies-especially vitamin c. Netti pots work great for sinus problems, just make sure to use distilled water.
A lot of OTC allergy meds are okay, but you should definitely double-check with your doc. I take Benadryl at night, Allegra during the day, and allergy eyedrops...walking around with red eyes these days, my allergies have definitely kicked in.
Oooh thank you :) you made my day! I have to wait until 9am Boo lol
My ob gave me the ok to take otc loratidine for my allergies. Just call your doc and ask :-)
