allergies

I am 23 weeks tomorrow and my allergies are making me miserable.  the list of drugs my dr gave me says it is ok to take benedryl and claritin but i feel like anything that has bad side effects on me will have similar ones on the baby.  So benedryl makes me sleepy therefore it will make the baby drowsy... idk if there is any truth to this at all but its what I keep thinking.  Is there any truth to this?  She has been moving like normal today after i took it.  Are there any natural ways to relieve allergies that are safer?  Last question, if I have to take meds is there a limit to how many days I can take them?  Allergy season has just begun and I don't want to take meds for a month or 2 of my pregnancy.

I was told my Doctor that i wasnt aloud to take any allergy drugs unless they were the old school drugs which would make me sleepy. He did say to use a normal nasal spray and that may offer some releaf.

The best thing to do is discuss it with your doctor.  I have been taking Claritin throughout my pregnancy because she said it was fine for me and the baby.  I am 32 weeks tomorrow and he is just as healthy and moving around like crazy.
