i was on the patch and it was not hard to change at all or remember to do so, just like any other bc. You start it the first sunday after your period starts. Change it every sunday after it. YOu get 3 patches a month and the 4th sunday is no patch and its because its the week your period is due. I agree with everyone else if you cant remember something as simple as changing your patch once a week your not ready for sexual relations. Maybe try something else like the depo thats every 3 months or an IUD... good luck.
I have to agree with rdh1981, what are you doing laxy-daisily having sex, like it's no big deal, with your *ex boyfriend*, *without contraception*??? It's ridiculous. Isn't he an ex for a good reason? It's not fair to any baby born to a mother who isn't really bothered about having the baby in the first place, I hope you aren't pregnant for the baby's sake. I also think you are grossly irresponsible. Sorry to seem harsh. I don't think you understand what a life-changing thing having a baby is. It's something you should be taking very seriously. You will learn the hard way no doubt.
Best of luck.
Take a test when your period is due. Not to be rude but if you are too irresponsible to change your bc patch (monthly) then you are too irresponsible to be having sex. For goodness sakes you are only 16! Are you really ready to be a mother???
you could have been ovulating. When is your next period due? when was your last period? and why are you having sex with the EX boyfriend i can imagine his reaction if he finds out your pregnant. If you are not ttc get him to wear protection and use the patch properly as the doctor instructed also if he is the EX as you state stay well clear of him and you won't be worried about conceiving. Best of luck whatever the outcome
