Progesterone is taken after ovulation, whilst you are on  it,your period wont come.I believe to force a period you may be put on it for so many days then stop.this should push along your period.so personally i would stop the progesterone now.hopefully your period will arrive, ive also done clomid, was given progesterone after confirmed ovulation.but please check with your doctor.

Wanted to add that my doctor said it is not uncommon at all for some women to take up to 21 days for AF to come once it is stopped.

It can take 10- 14 days to start your period. When did you stop taking it how many mg were you on cause also you could not be on strong enough. I am taking it now too but i have to take it for 20 days 100mg before bed everynight.

I've read that it takes some women two round of provera (progesterone med) to get their periods... Maybe you're one of those women. I would definitely call your doctor tomorrow.

my doctor told me that progesterone would delay my period.

When I was on progesterone, I was on it after I ovulated - if my beta came out negative, then I was to stop the progesterone so I would start AF. So call the doc and ask for a blood test and then you can go from there! Good luck!!

I'm pretty sure that your Dr put you on progesterone so your period will start.......right?  I've never had to do this, but I do know that it's very typical to trigger AF for those who are irregular.  BUT I'm thinking you SHOULD have already started by now, I'd take an HPT just to be sure your not PG, & if it's a BFN, call your DR & see what he wants you to do ;o)
Good luck

NOt sure why you think the progesterone is to begin you AF? Or I am misunderstanding you. I was on progesterone to get pregnant. I have low preogesterone which made me have a short luteal phase. IE a luteal phase defect. You DO NOT stop any progesterone suppliments without a negative blood beta HCG qunatatative test!!!!!!! You could stop and be pregnant and then mc! I started my preogesterone two days late due to my pharmacist not mailing it to me and MC so it is detriemntal you have the blood test! Thsi is not the yes or no test but a test which will give you a number. Didn't your dr give you a standing order for the test? You get the test on CD 32-33 if you ahv enot started a full blown period! You can spot and be pregnant. ALso the pregesterone delays AF so some woman may not start AF till tehy come off like a day or two. The progesterone helps slow the estrogen production to stop the lineing of the uterus from shedding early and casueing a mc.

CAll your dr and do not stop it till you get the blood test! You are on progesterone and not the other srug that starts your AF right? You only taek progesterone the night after you ovulate no earlier and no later and only during that luteal phase.

I took it for two months and was so upset of getting the blood work when I was not pregnant every month but it is worth it!!!
