I've read there are all types of things to try; oil, sex, walks, o's...but pretty much if your body Isnt ready then they dont work. But it doesnt hurt to try!
Ive heard from most of my friends who have tried (I never got far enough along to self induce my dd was born at 30 weeks and ds was induced at 36 weeks due to PIH) that sex is the best method... its natural, doesn't have any side effects like castor oil does, and if you can find a comfortable position its enjoyable too =0) (even if it doesn't jump start labor)
Your DH's semen have something in them that help soften, dialate, and efface the cervix, and if you have an orgasm it can get some contractions going. I have one friend who swears that she sent herself into labor twice by having sex... she says the secret is to do it once, then when they contractions start to subside do it again lol! She swears by it! I personally believe that if your body is ready then it will help things along, but if not there really isnt much you can do.
Best of Luck to you! Keep us posted and let us know if anything works for you!
nothing worked for me either...not even sex or walking. when it's time...it'll happen. Hang in there!
castor oil did nothing for me. i 'did it' for 2 days straight! i didnt even have a bm LoL
Nothing you try will work unless your body is ready. Let your body do its job! Baby will come when they're ready.
Actually castor oil put me in labor within a few hours with 2 of my children........but you have to be close to labor for it to work.........My docotr actually recommended it. Good luck!!
use evening primrose oil on yoru cervix or your labia every 4 hours 1000mg. You can find a oil or just use capsles and break them open. You will go into labor with in 48 hours usually.
WHen you ahve an orgasm yoru uterus contracts for at least 30 min and releases oxitocin the natural form of pitocin. When a man ejaculates in you the sperm ahs postiglandins that your body needs to casue you to go into labor.
Castor oil does nto wrok and only makes the bowels contract and I would never try it.
red rasberry leaf tea is good too.
All these things are what midwives use and have been used for centuries! it really works!
