anyone else' partner work alot?

Mine ran his own business & missed out on a lot of time with his daughter who is now almost 2. So before this bubba gets here (march) he's started training in a new job so he can hopefully have weekends & a few afternoons with the kids & I. Trouble is the training is exhausting. He's been doing it for 4 weeks now & he's only once been home before dinner, it's awful! He comes home miserable too. Eats then basically helps get our daughter ready for bed & goes to bed himself. I've had a really difficult pregnancy & we always battled whatever came at is together. Running his own business put a lot of strain on the family. I don't know if it's hormones but I feel like this might break us. I feel like I can't handle a toddler, this difficult pregnancy & now this eat sleep grunt relationship for one more week. I'm trying to remain supportive & not let my hormones take control & fly off the handle or lash out. I'm trying so hard to keep up with the house & my poor toddler is stuck watching movies the last two days because my Braxton hicks are insane! He can't even be home to spend any time with her so I feel like she's missing out so much. Does anyone in a similar situation have any advice please? Thanks :)

Im almost in the same situation, my boyfriend started running his own business and has been working 5am until 9pm and gets home puts our 2 year old son to bed and then falls asleep himself.

Its hard but have to have more patience even though patience is running a little thin these days. Besides patience just try find little activites to do with ur child. We color, paint and do jigsaw puzzles. Some days I dont have the energy to do much or too much morning sickness (im 19 weeks and still have morning sickness bad). So I try to find small things to do with my son.

I totally get it! My wife leaves for work around 6a.m. and doesn't get home till six or later. She's tired and grumpy from sitting in LA traffic for an hour by the time she gets home. I've been on bed rest for 5 months so I'm bored and lonely and excited to see her, but she's just not in a pleasant mood. I told her how I felt, and we've found a balance that works for us. I'm now 40 weeks and we're happy! Communication is a life saver!

Thank you :) I might see if the in laws can take her for a few hours during the week to take her to do the fun stuff I can't at the moment. I knows he's doing it for us that's why I'm trying to keep my hormones in check but I also feel like it being held against me & I'm just expected to pick up all the slack because it's all for us. I can't even have a conversation with him at the moment because I feel so guilty for feeling this way I just end up crying :( thanks for your advice will try to chat with him.

My husband is in the military so he deploys and even on shore duty he sometimes works 14+hour days. The best thing I can suggest is talk to him. My husband will stay up late so he can spend time with me and our two kids. I'm pregnant with our third right now. You have to remember he is doing this to support you and your children because he loves you guys and don't let your hormones get the best of you. Also for your daughter is say look into finding someone to watch her for a few hours a day so you have some time to yourself. And take a date night! It can make a world of difference
