bad cramping. 12 weeks pregnant but miscarried twin at 9 weeks

Hi all. I'd really appreciate any advice anyone could give me
I found out I was pregnant mid december and was sent for an endo vaginal scan as I have had an ectopic pregnancy in the past. Everything was in the right place and the doctor was happy. On the 27th I was rushed to hospital with very heavy bleeding and fluid loss. Myself and my partner were sure of the worst but were elated when the scan showed the baby was alive and well
At my dating scan, which took place at 11 weeks the sonographer found a second sac containing the remains of a dead twin. I found this very upsetting but she reassured me all appeared normal with the ongoing pregnancy and that the other sac would break down naturally within my body
Yesterday, last night and this morning I have been getting bad abdominal cramping, back pain and stomach aches. I am really scared. As this is my first pregnancy to reach this point I have no idea what is 'normal' and am petrified something is wrong as this is how I felt prior to the major bleed which resulted in the miscarriage of the twin. Is this normal? Am I right to be worried? Or is it the other sac breaking down?
Anyone, please help if you have any ideas. Scared and praying everything is okay with our peanut :/

I agree with trying43! Anytime you are in doubt you NEED to call your doctor. Menstrual-like cramps are normal. The abdominal pain you are experiencing; is it deep inside your womb or is it more surface? Because it could be round ligament pain.

I'm sorry you lost one of your twins!

Try to lay on your left side and hydrate.  If the cramping goes away and there is no bleeding or spotting it could be normal.  Cramping in early pregnancy is normal sometimes, I had a ton of it with this pregnancy.  I would also call your OB and let them know what is going on.  You may have something as simple as a UTI which can cause cramping as well.  Good luck to you..

I would contact your dr as soon as you can. Maybe they can get you in for another sonogram and see what is going on. Our prayers are with you and keep us updated.
