@ash like I said its not proven I pretty much eat what I want lol. I won't judge you for your bleu cheese consumption. I eat raw cookie dough and that's a no no when you ARENT pregnant.

Oh i never got heartburn until I was pregnant. But it wasn't from spicy food it was sauces with high acidics. And I agree with what the other lovely ladies stated. I eat whatever the hell I want besides raw/undercooked  meats and soft cheese.

Anything is safe to eat as long as it has been handled, stored, and cooked properly.  Our immune system isn't working at 100% because our bodies are focused on doing other things, so the chances of getting sick from improperly prepared food is higher.

Spicy foods are fine. They say to stay away from fish with high levels of mercury, soft cheese such feta cheese or bleu cheese, cold lunch meats but I eat those anyways. Also drinks with a lot of caffeine. You can't eat undercooked foods such as rare steaks and sushi. None of that is definitive because they legally can't do tests on unborn babies BC its inhumane so they don't know anything for sure these are just general rules of thumb.

And no raw/undercooked foods and try to steam your lunch meat before eating it

That's bull dooky. As long as you are prepared for heartburn eat all the spicy food you want. Beware of high mercury fish and empty calories
