My baby is five months now and i just got the nexplanon implant. i love it. the only thing is the irregular periods. so far it made my period lighter but longer, however i don't have cramps anymore which i used to have really bad. And i haven't gained any weight so it works for me.
I use the patch. Its the only one I haven't heard any horror stories about
My best friend got preg doing natural contriception
And i breastfed for 9 months with my iud
I had the iud for 5 years and absolutely loved it! I didnt gain any weight (but i didnt on the pill either), it made my periods shorter and lighter, and didnt have to worry about making sure i took something on time or anything like that. But of coarse with anything there are risks. But it was great for me
Ever considered natural contraception? Billings ovulation method is awesome :) allows us to listen to and connect with our bodies!
I had the paraguard for a year then it slipped and I got pregnant with my now 1 week old son. I got my tubes tied now hoping this works this time as I have too many health problems to have anymore babies.
the mirena was good at the beginning, i cramped for a few days and then nothing, no period at all.. it was wonderful! Then about 18 months in, several side effects started kickin in, i gained 26 lbs and it caused a painful lump in my left breast. after 2 yrs i had to take it out.. before my dr. could take it out, i had to get an ultrasound done cause she couldnt find the string to take it out. luckily she got it without any crazy procedures.. keep in mind that everyone is diferent and you may not have any or the same side effects. i have 2 cousins that hace had the mirena for 3 yrs and they both love it.. good luck!
Not sure with the Nuva ring. But you can bf with mirena, paragard, depo shot, nexplanon implant, and the mini pill.
Sorry nuvaring.. can u breastfeed with nuvaring? Or iud?
Can you breastfeed with the iud? And mirena?
I only had the implant three months.
The only side effects I've had from the iud is irregular bleeding. But I'm not sure if its still post partum bleeding since I've only stopped for a couple days at a time. But even still cramping and bleeding is common the first three months. I got it bc it's non hormonal.
I had the implanon implant (now nexplanon) and it made me gain 30 pounds and then I found out I was very much allergic to it. If the Nuva ring gave you any nasty side effects, don't go for the nexplanon, it's the same thing, different method.
I have the paragard (copper) iud now and have had it two weeks. So far I'm really liking it. I've had several friends with it and they've loved it.
