That is dumb and reckless on your doctors part. Let that uti turn into a kidney infection and send you into preterm labor and your doctor will be like o I should have given you antibiotics. I've never not gotten antibiotics for a uti. And no amount of water, cranberry juice or anything else was ever effective at getting rid of them.
I'm taking antibiotics for one now but maybe you should try just drinking a lot of water. Why didn't your doc want to give you meds? Any type of untreated infection during pregnancy could make your baby very sick and possibly be fatal!
I spent all day in the hospital today with horrible pain thinking I was going into labor because I couldn't move without pain (I was also having mild contractions) & turns out I had a uti. They gave me fluids & medication for it. I think you should go to the er if you really need medication for it.
I had one and didn't even know! I went to L&D because I was having contractions at 30 weeks and they did tests confirming the UTI. They gave me an antibiotic to take for a week and it went away. I don't know how I got it.
Each time i had a uti my doc have antibiotics glad she did bc the uti can affect bab. But you can try using dove sensitive skin soap down there.doesn't irritate it. I feel a huge difference then when i was using other soap. I never had uti before i got pregnant tho.
Why did she refuse to give you meds? Just curious. I've had about 4 utis my pregnancy and was always given antibiotics. I'm 37 weeks now
I went to the er and the gave my keflex and my obgn told me rite aid has all kinds of things I got so off brand kind that u take for a couple days and turns ur pee orange that works just find and was cheap
I've had a few mild ones and guzzled cranberry juice! It's a natural body cleanser. If that doesn't help, you can also drink warm water mixed with baking soda, it balances the ph in your pee. These are both natural remedies that I've been doing for years even before I got pregnant on the recommendation of my family doctor.
