I miscarried in sept..gosh it seems so long ago..I started spotting a week before but everything checked out to be fine..two days after my check up I miscarried. My pain also stopped that day...pretty much as soon as I saw the baby come out of me..I was almost 8 weeks. Afterwards the bleeding calmed down a lot but I think it took me a total of 5 days to stop bleeding. I spotted very lightly for about a day and that was it! 5 weeks later (the same time my normal periods are due) I got my first post-m/c AF...lasted about 5 or 6 days...pretty light considering ive heard lots of people say the first period after your miscarriage is pretty bad! Mine was just fine...I think youre okay cuz Ive heard of many women taking a really long time to get back to normal..you may just be one of them! If youre really worried go see your OB. I'm sorry you lost your baby..we all pretty much know how you feel. I would do anything to still have my baby. It was not planned so now that I miscarried my boyfriend wanted me right back on birth control...I wish I was still pregnant. Devastating
I had a miscarriage in Novemeber and everything came out, the pain was gone the day I miscarried, but I did bleed for about 6 days which isn't bad at all. I think it also depends on how far along you were. My baby stopped growing at 6 weeks so there wasn't much in me, but one of my friends was over 20 weeks, and she bled for a month. I've heard of women who bleed for a couple months and than there are women who only bleed for a week. It really depends on your body and your situation. If you are concerned, see your doctor, but I think bleeding for a week is normal. When I miscarried I tried to stay off my feet around the actual day it was happening, but than afterwards I had so much to do I needed to carry on with my life. I mean I didn't do anything major, but I did go food shopping and ran errands while I was bleeding. I would just say don't over do it. Usually they want you completely bed rested if they think you will miscarry but haven't yet to try and prevent the miscarriage, but if you've already miscarried just be easy on your body. I'm so sorry for your loss, hang in there.
i blead for 16 days after my misscarriage in nov you have carried on as much as possiable like normal like you said you have to shop look after you family and so on so i dont think that should make a big differance as long as you dont over do it and rest i have heard of people bleeding this long and after the birth of my 1 child i blead for 14 weeks take care and run it by your doc see if they will scan to make sure all is out
