My husband and I have been ttc for 7yrs.  Last month I had a faint positive on a hpt.  We were so excited!  When I went to my OB/GYN 2 weeks later we found out we had a blighted ovum.  I had a feeling all the previous week that something was just not right.  Everyone told me that I was being paranoid since it had taken us so long to get pregnant.  I had been having cramps, too.  I did talk to the dr's office and they kept telling me it was normal.  It's been almost 3 weeks since we found out and I still haven't seen AF (though I did spot and I had some clumping)!  I check my fertility every morning with a saliva microscope.  About 2 weeks ago, we had all the signs of ovulation (the best ferning pattern ever on my microscope!) and tried again.  This time, too, we even used Pre-Seed to help out.  (FYI:  I highly recommend it to every woman ttc!)  Well, I know you are supposed to wait to ttc after a miscarriage.... but we didn't.  I have been having pregnancy symptoms for the past week (nausea, frequent urination, dizziness, breast tenderness, ect.).  I have a dr's appointment Thursday for a full exam and I am praying they tell me I'm pregnant again.

I am really sorry to hear your news and I completely understand how you are feeling. I had a miscarriage earlier this year, a blighted ovum. There is no cure as it isn't an illness, there is nothing wrong with you to be fixed. All I can say is take it easy and try again as soon as your body has recovered. I have researched blighted ovums loads and was shocked to find out it happens to alot of women, 1 in 3 I think it said. I am really sorry, look after yourself x

A blighted ovum is a fertilized egg that doesn't ever develop into a baby. Instead a mass of cells forms. I'm very sorry! I've had a blighted ovum but to me, they were still my baby. Take it easy and rest.

there is no cure for a blighted ovum.  this simply means you got pregnant but a baby didn't develop.  My doctor told me that if thats happend to you once the chances it will happen again are very low however it can.
