blood type! please help?

I'm 28 weeks and 6 days. At the begining they took blood and I was told my blood type was O Negative. Does this mean I have to get the Rhogam shot? I'm confused on how it works? My doctor hasn't told me anything about any shots or anything?

I'm O Negative also. I'm scheduled to get my rhogam next appointment when I'm 27wks. I already knew my blood type so I made sure I asked about it in the beginning. You should bring it back up to your OB

Yes, a negative blood type usually means you get a rhogam shot twice in your pregnancy.  I'm not sure if your baby's father's blood type changes that but I am a positive blood type as well as my hubby.
