I to had blood in my stools and panicked so i made an appoitnment with my doctor and she was too concerned.  She said if it is bright red then you have cut the opening of your anus causing the rich red colour.  She said she would only be concerned if there was brown blood because that would mean it was old and you would be bleeding from the intestines.  I am not sure about the mucus stuff.

Sorry but I hope that helps

Blood in the stool can be caused my hemrroids... I would mention it to your Dr. but you can also take Colace or a stool softner.. Just make sure it is NOT a laxative stool softner.  Take Colace everyday and that will help soften your stool and help you pass them more easisly.

Having trouble with bowel movements is a common thing in pregnancy.  If you are having hard stools then that could cause blood in your stools from irritated intestines and rectum.  The white mucus I'm not sure about.  However, if you have had a cold or allergies resulting in congestion and a lot of mucus, then it is possible that will show up in your stools.  If you are having trouble with bowel movements I do know that you can take Miralax while you are pregnant.  I just had my third child 4 months ago, and my bowels were hard on me during my pregnancy too.  If you are worried about your stools then the best thing to do is have your doctor check it out, but I don't think you really have anything to worry about.  Good luck and keep me posted
