it is such mothers instinct. Classes are not necessary. I breast fed my baby until he turned 21 months.
get with a lactation consultant wen baby is born n honestly it takes dedication !! cz its not easy at first, but it does always help to read up n get as much info n tips as possible! !I exclusively bf my daughter for 15 mths n gana bf bby #2. but one thing dont let ppl or the nurses bully u into formula
I watched videos on youtube. Plus ive already had a baby and really all you need to know is 1) comfortable positions to hold the baby
2) proper latching
3) how to unlatch
4) when to feed your baby and how long (for this you follow the babys cues)
And last but not least PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
Its different in every area im pretty sure. And that was so long ago I don't even remember.
Mine was free through my medical assistance. They have me a double pump that wasn't manual and provided lunch.
Im taking a class on sunday and ill be 32 weeks im really excited ive heard they really give u some great information:)
I didn't take a class and breastfed for 14 months but I personally didn't like the idea of taking classes for something that should be natural and it cost a good bit for classes around my area.
I was about that far along when I had my class and got a free pump. You might forget some stuff, but luckily there's a lactation consultant at the hospital that can answer all your questions. :)
