I had same problem. When you pump massage your breasts. Also a nipple shield could help. I know how annoying pumping is. My baby had a tongue tie (his tongue lacked movement) and so he had to learn how to suck.I used a nipple shield for 2 weeks, now he latches on my breast normally. Your breasts r engorged because your milk is coming in, most babies find it difficult to latch when they r that swollen and hard. Keep pumping! It goes down in about 3 days. :) you can do it.
Massage massage massage!! Look for the ways on Google! Trust me out helps! !
Try a hot rag and just put it on them. I heard that helps..
Nooo!! Never take hot showers if your breastfeeding!! Its not good for your boobs.. Put an ice patch! And try calling your hospital or doctor
Make an appointment with a lactation consultant pronto. Today. Right now. Call the hospital you delivered at. They will hook you up with someone. Your baby likely cannot latch bbecause you are too engorged, too full of milk. You will only be in more and more pain the longer this goes on and your baby will get hungrier and hungrier. A good LC will help you to either successfully latch or to pump off enough to relieve the pressure - and then latch. This exact thing happened to me and I ended up nursing my son successfully for two years. If you need to walk back into the postpartum unit and demand to see an LC do it. You need to be seen today. Not just by a nurse - I love nurses, I am one, but not every L&D nurse has mastered the art of teaching breastfeeding. LCs train for years to help moms just like you.
U gta gt that colostrum milk out train ur boobs also I agree gt someone to help this is TMI but do u have inverted nipples? All that plays a part as well or maybe ur baby just dntv want the boob my son didnt my daughter loved the boob hopefully this come September will love the boob too
Go to target and get a medela nipple shield. It's in their breast pump section. It works WONDERS for latching problems. It's basically like putting a bottle nipple on your actually nipple. I used them for my daughter and it helped so much! They have 3 different sizes and they run from about 6-9$ each. You don't need more than one at a time just make sure to clean it after every use. I'd go get one ASAP before your milk starts to decrease.
It has to be a very hot shower and you have to be relaxed hun.
I would try to talk to a nurse for help maybe go to your hospital for classes
