Google Kelly mom breast milk storage. There's a list with great info regarding BM storage.

My best friend runs a breastfeeding support group at our local school and im pretty sure she's not giving false information telling everyone its up to 5 days in the fridge and 6 months to freeze. Just make sure u write dates on any milk you store so you know how long its been in there.

I believe your right when my son was in the nicu they told me the same 24 hours. If u freeze you milk in milk bags I believe its good for a year. To unfreeze your milk heat up a cup of water not to hot! And place the bag in the cup to unfreeze. I lovedfreezing my milk because u can store it away for along time. And take it on the go .
