i know exactlly how you feel i choose to be enduce at 39 week everthing was going well then i got to 6 cm then all my contractions stoped i stopped dialating it was like she got stuck the the doc told me just that she got stuck and gave up i had to have a c section i was scared i felt like less a woman it was horrible but was i held my baby for the first time none of that mattered it was incredible you will bw fine i can assure that
i was like you and scared , but you have alot of people around you in the theater and they really keep you informed of whats happening. and once they make the first cut your baby is out in mins.
and once they check them they let you see and hold them as much as you can.. lol and once you do that the time flys by ,alsong as every thing is ok.
you feel a bit silly lying their and all these people are doing all their jobs around you and you feel like a tree trunk because you can move but its still an amazing process.
you will have no pain but you will feel them pushing and pulling when they are getting the baby out and checking things after.
but like i said you are not in any pain but it does feel funny but its all normal.
And if at anytime you feel funny just let them know and they will help, but i thought if i told you a bit about what happens it may help you .
but i hope i havent scared?? i know my first one i had no idear what to exspect but once you start the process its really not that bad.
but when you do feel a bit funny just keep thinking i will see my baby soon.
and they should let you have baby in the room with you after or in recovery as long as baby is alright. As some times with c/s baby they just need some oxygen to help them with their lungs but its quite normal for c/s bubbas.
so make sure to ask them what their policy is having bubba with you after the birth as im from Australia and not sure if its the same where your from.
so if you have any questions i would love to help
xx
Thank you so much for all your encouraging words! Every single thing you guys said helped put a smile on my face and gave me more reassurance than I have felt in days.. probably months! I'm just so ready to see my baby and hope everything works out for the best. I'm still a little scared to have a csection but if it's what I need to do, I'll do it for my daughter. Thanks again and hanacabana, I hope you have a safe and healthy labor and delivery! Perhaps you'll have your baby before me! Good luck!
I am sorry you are feeling this way..
I don't know if this helps or not, but I have hated everything about pregnant so far. People think I am crazy or rotton for saying so, but I am only 19.5 weeks and miserable. Just think... you almost have your body back! You are NOT alone in feeling this way and hating/being HIGHLY uncomfortable during pregnancy! PROMISE!
Hang in there and I wish you a speedy L & D!
XO
Sweety im sorry that things are getting so tough for you! I'm due this Sunday (31st) and i don't seem to be getting anywhere fast either. I live in Australia and they don't check dilation so im not sure about that but the baby definitely hasn't dropped or engaged yet. Apart from some fairly frequent Braxton Hicks (non painful) i haven't felt much of a change either. I have heaps of stretch marks on my thighs and i haven't even put that much weight on definitely not noticabley on my thighs anyway. And i only have a few belly ones. The itching could be the belly stretching more, whenever i get new ones im itchy for days.
Hopefully you wont have to have a C-section but if you do you should definitely not think of it as anything other than a natural birth. If that is how you have to have your baby, healthily than how can it be anything but natural. Despite how your doctor may act this is about you, your partner and your baby and it may be a good thing that you know in advance because you can adjust your birth plan to make sure this is still the birth YOU want. Most hospitals allow music and other mood setters in C-section deliveries these days and you can create the ambience that you want. I know what you mean when you say you feel your body isn't cooperating but try not to think like that. Think about how lucky you are that your body is showing strong enough signs to indicate the best, safest way to bring your new baby into the world.
I dont know if this will help or just sound like the ramblings of a very tired heavily pregnant woman but i really trully hope you feel better. It can get so hard sometimes and you deserve to have a bit of a rant and a rave every now and again to vent this. Try and focus on the positives and the miracle that this experience is no matter how the baby may arrive.

dont worry sweetie what you are feeling is normal and lots of people feel like you but when you see your beautiful baby it will all be worth it .
i had 3 c/s and 3 beautiful girls and you will get clucky again it might take some time but you will.
im am waiting 2 more years and im going again as long as everything is ok like i said i have had 3 c/s and it can be risky having a 4 th.
so if the doctor gives me the all clear i will try my hardest to have one more...lol
then it will bring our total to 6 kids as my partner has two boys .
as for the c/s dont feel you are a failed your baby as a c/s can be just as nice as a natural birth but diffrent .
but like a natural birth they are the same as in you have a beautiful baby at the end of the hard work.
and be proud of those stretch marks as they have help you
carry a little bundel of joy for nine months.
and when they turn around in a few years time when you have a little fight and they say "YOUR NOT MY MOTHER" you can then show them ans "oh yes i am" i have the strech marks to prove it !!!!....... lol
and the itchyness that you have is prob from your skin streching try some cold face washers and try and stay cool as sometimes being to hot can make it worse .
Good luck xx
