caffine & baby

so im in my 3rd trimester and recently i have been drinking one can of dr pepper or coca cola like every day for a little over a week.. I know these sodas have caffine and are bad but for some reason i cant fight the urge to drink one lately. I know it can have negitive side effects also.. Did anyone drink a lot of soda during their pregnancy? If so how did your baby turn out ?

You can have 200 mg a day, which is the equivalent of an 8 oz cup of coffee, you'll be fine as well as baby

I found that the more pop I drank, the more active baby would be. As I got farther on I had to stop because baby was actually bruising me he was so active. He's now an energetic 18 month old that doesn't have an 'off' button, but I think that's more of a genetic thing since my husband is always go go go.

Caffeine is ok as long as you aren't drinking to much. If you are staying hydrated and not drinking more than 3 caffeinated drinks a day you should be fine

Carried both full term, so ER visits or doctor calls, went into labor and had my baby naturally with no complications. She was a good 6lbs and 6oz, and this baby has been going the same way.

Yup, you can safely have 2 to 3 sodas a day. I drink at least one a day, sometimes two. I did with both pregnancies and both babies are perfect.

I have soda mostly decaffienated but some that arent and i drink coffee like 2-3 times a week. Caffiene is fine in moderation. I believe its 200-300 mg of caffiene a day which is equivelant to 1-2 cup of coffee and about 2-3 sodas.
