can spotting be heavy enough to use something?

can spotting early in pregnancy(even before a missed period) be heavy enough to use a tampon? or is it just that my period is early? ovulated 10/17, spotted every day until today10/24 and bleeding is now heavier, but with no cramping like AF. AF is due 10/31, so is it possible to be pregnant with this bleeding? it is not near what AF is, and its not heavy, just more than spotting on toilet paper like it started off..its staining underwear and more reddish brown.  still too early to test, just trying to see if anyone knows or has had this so I can start preparing myself for either the let down or the excitement of being or not being possibly prego...

Honestly I have never followed my cycle at all.  The only way I knew I was getting my period is when I was on the pill.  If it wasn't for that I would of never known cause I never kept track either.  I do think going off the pill can mess up your system at first as to where you could get a period early etc.  I know when I was on the pill if I'd miss a day or so I would typically spot for a few days.  It just throws your body off.  I also got pregnant very quickly after going off the pill with both of my children.  I would just wait and see what happens next month.

We are kind of seeing what happens since I just got off birth control this month, so that might be explain my symptoms...but also had sex the night before the day i ovulated, so i guess yes i am hoping it was successful. I am just confused because I went off BC, ovulated to the day(14th day) and then started spotting the next day. I was always regular before BC too...so it's a mystery. It can be so many different things...I am just trying to narrow it down. I really want to be pregnant and the timing was perfect, but the spotting has thrown me off. I hear some people spot during preg...i was just wondering if spotting is considered having enough blood to use something or not. this does not seem like my usual period at all...but i guess the bc could have messed it up. i just dont see why i would have been so perfect with my ovulation if my period was not going to be normal and on time...a week early is weird to me. i was also thinking maybe by chance i ovulated immediately after going off BC, then this would explain a period now since it was 2 weeks ago...but then it doesnt explain why i had all of the ovulation symptoms a week ago if i didnt release an egg. i didnt think you could ovulate more than once a month, but maybe bc causes something different??

I had the same thing happen last week.  I used a tampon the first day thinking my period was here and probably would not of wanted to go without anything. It def. was not my usual period though.  But after the first day I only had a little spotting here and their which is NOT normal for me.  So I"m not sure what is going on their.  Are you trying to get pregnant?
