Hi all-long time! By baby is 4 weeks today and about a week ago me n hubby had sex,he came inside me.I'm not on contraception, didn't use a jonny.they say you don't get a proper period when breastfeeding.what are your views on this?can anyone help clear up whether its likely to become preggers?
Breastfeeding is not contraception. It can help delay your periods for a long while but to be safe I would use condoms or the pill if you are not wanting to conceive any time soon. I doubt this early you have anything to worry about but just be careful in the future.
You might want to wait a bit longer than a week before testing, since it's unlikely. If you happen to get your period soon, you'll know the answer without buying a test.
This was a common myth many years ago - that you couldn't get pregnant while breastfeeding, but that's the reason I have a baby (age 41) brother!
