cervical question (tmi)

I'm currently a little over 33 weeks. Baby boy is extremely active. Next drs appointment is jan 3. Been having alot of pressure in my pelvic area and also sharp stabbing pains inside where my cervix is. Since the drs has yet to check for dilation or anything I decided to check myself after my shower this eve. Usually my cervix is really hard and sticks out some...this time it was like i couldn't feel it at all. It is as soft as the surrounding tissues and flat into my uterus. I haven't lost my mucus plug or anything yet, but I have heard that some women don't until birth. Does it sound like he may be working on coming early?

Please please don't check your self you can cause an infection or put yourself in labor.

I'm a ftm but I kno ur not suppose to check urself for dialation at all cuz its possible to snd u into labor(my Dr. tld me this) nd drs dnt start checking to see if ur dialated til after ur 36 weeks
