I had a missed M/C as well in Dec.  I think that at this point you would know if that would happen - In a nutshell, I went for my 2nd OB appt. with vaginal U/S.......Internal exam was fine..said everything felt great.....got DH in the waiting room and went in for the U/S.....They found twins with no heartbeats in either that had stopped growing 1 1/2 weeks prior.....My body thought that it was still pregnant, so I never miscarried......had to have a D&C.
I think that your chances of M/C go down once you hear a heartbeat, and again once you enter the 2nd Trimester.....I know how this forum can scare you with everyone's stories sometimes......I just found out I'm pregnant again and am worried about ectopic...and for no reason!  haha!

A missed mc is when the baby does not detach, it's heart stops beating and usually you need to get a D and C to remove it.  I had 2 last year
