Thoughts on cod liver oil to induce labor? My friends just told me to drink codliver oil and orange juice she did it with 2 off hers and went into the labor the next day

I took Castor oil and went into labor never heard of cod liver oil

Its a laxetive like castor oil so the bowel action might irritate the uterus and maybe make it contract possibily starting labour if your body and baby is ready. I personally couldn't think of anything worse then labouring on the toilet tho.

I did this with my last. I was already dialated to 3, but my doctor wouldn't induce. I did a table spoon or two in some apple juice this was at 4:00 pm. I went to the bathroom a few times at 5:00 am my water broke. I will never do this again!!!

I wouldn't. Can cause baby to have a bowel movement.
