confused

In july my period my period was shorter and lighter and this months period was 3 days late and only went for 2 days was lighter and was more brown.My breasts have been sore for the past 2 months and now stomich is tight.We have been trying for a baby.When periods where late took a preg test that was negative is unsure?

I would take another test, because now it should be more accuret, however, if you ovulated later this month then there is a possiblility that it could be implant beeding. And in which case you wouldn't get a positive result for 10 days later.  If you're still unsure, I would call your Gyno and see if they can run a urin or blood test to determin if you're pregnant, since they are more senstitive than the store bought tests.  I hope this helps a little bit.
