contraction question again!

39+2days, ive noticed my tummy going rock hard but i dont feel much pain. This morning in less then one hour i had four-five but im not sure if i should count does as braxton hicks or contractions or just nothing. So if my tummy goes really hard for about one minute rach time but no pain is that still a contraction?

I decided not to go in. I have a feeling theyre not going to keep me if i do. But my son's back is on my right side and that side tends to go harder. So how is it going with the pictocin??? Ill see how things are going tonight. I just want my water to break lol its an easier sign!

He tends to stay in the middle, slightly to the right but I've noticed him on the left more recently

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd just comment on this one again. Is it possible to feel contractions mainly on one side and not the other? I keep getting random sharp pains in my back and lower left abdomin, along with tightening of my belly.

Not yet I'm still on pitocin and they started it off slow but contractions aren't so strong yet

Yes go with your instincts my water broke and I am now in labor and still barely evn feel contractions so they strted me on pitocin

Even if there most likely going to send you home, might as well right? I guess its better to go when ur not sure whats going on then to wait and something bad happens lol

I know! At least when the water breaks its a sign to just go in no matter what lol my parens and sisters are coming over for diner then i guess well head to the hospital. Im expecting to be sent home but since my mom seems to think something might be moving along i guess theres no harm in going in. I dont want to get my hopes up so im going to try and go in with a neutral mind lol and see what goes from there. Maybe our babies will show up tonight :) how exciting!

Same situation for me! Good to know I'm not the only crazy ftm that doesn't know when its time to head to the hospital. I've been having mild cramping pain and tightening of my belly since 2am off and on. But refuse to go into the hospital BC I know they will send me back home. It would be much easier if my water just broke

Same here! I thought 'ill definately know cuz i have no pain tolerance' but my tummy has been hard for the last two hours lol my mom says some women dont get that painful pain until the last moment. She said she only felt bad contraction on her last 30mintes of labour. So i guess ill be moving my butt to the hospital tonight and see what they say. Apoarently it runs in my family lol contractions but no pain.

No I haven't called the hospital as yet. I went for a walk to see how things will progress afterwards. I stopped timing, & just kind of observing the frequency and intensity. If by later it increases ill def be calling! Lol mine aren't painful, but I can feel them. I know when I'm having them because I get cramps now.. But it isn't anything painful. I guess I'm expecting that excruciating pain everyone was telling me about.

So my tummy constantly feels hard for awhile now, but no pain. Maybe a slight pinch on my lower right back and a slight cramp here and there. Called my mom (im a ftm and i rely on my mom a lot) shes going to head home from her work, pick up my sisters and make her way over to my place and feel my tummy. Im sure im not crazy lol but i want to make sure. My mom just told me with my little sister, she headed to the hospital at 10pm and had my sister at 10:55pm lol apparently she didnt think they were painful either so shes probably goimg to drive me to the hospital so i can get checked, but i just feel like they're going to just send me home. I seriously thought this would be like an unmistakeable feelingband i would just know! But maybe not

Oh mon dieu! Lol im trying to time them but its hard to do since ill notice in the middle that my stomach is hard. Sjould i just start timing when i notice it? Even if its not right at the beginning? Now im a little scared i dont notice im in labour and my baby pops out of nowhere lol good luck to us tams22 did you call ur hospital to see what they say? If i can get them timed close enough im goimg to call first. I dont want them sending me back lol

Try to take a warm bath if they get stronger and more pain full then its the real thing :) good luck to ya :D

Lol okay, so peeing is normal! Cause I do it so often it's ridiculous. I started timing and they've been about 6-8 mins apart on average. I hope it's not false! I want my baby out lol

This is my first time being pregnant so I don't know much as far as contractions go, but I would say if they're consistent it sounds like contractions. I've constantly been told Braxton hicks will not come consistently enough for timing. And my mom waste same with my brother, she never had painful contractions. She just felt tight and uncomfortable, went to the hospital and he was born in less than an hour!

Yup! I think the peeing every ten minutes is worst lol my vagina hurts from wiping so much. So im trying to time these no pain hard tummy things but im having trouble figuring out just how hard it needs to get. Its hard since i dont feel them i have to keep poking at it. Im hoping my water just breaks or leaks. That would be much easier!

Same! But ill try timing them as best i can and see where it goes. I know i dont get them every five minutes for sure though

I'm experiencing the exact same thing! I'm 39+3 and I don't feel much, just my tummy going hard! I haven't been timing them though, I just took them as nothing.
