contractions???

I have been told that it feels like you tummy tightens up then just let's go. My tummy tightens but theses no sudden release

For me BH have been slight pains more across the top of my stomach sometimes I can notice them a lot and sometimes I hardly notice them. I have heard they can be on the sides as well and most of the time my stomach didn't get hard with them and baby would even still move with them.

I still am not sure if I have had the BH contractions, I think I get them all the time but there not how my friends tell me they feel and It's my first so I don't know for sure that drives me nuts

Don't worry I always hated when people told me that lol
With my 1st they felt like really intense period cramps like the ones you have that make you bend over but even worse then that and with my 2 cnd it felt like my pelvis was being ripped apart. I would  much prefer the cramping to the pain this time.
But it could be totally different for you. Just watch for any continuous pain all over your front and back although I didn't really have any back pain.
