cramping in early pregnancy

Hello everyone - I just need some answers to hopefully relax me some - I just found out on Wednesday that I was pregnant - I did and injectable cycle with Ovidril trigger and IUI on 12/4 - I started testing at home on Sunday 12/13 got a very faint positive so tested again on Monday and Tuesday and still positive - I called my RE on Monday and he said to come in on Wednesday instead of Friday.  So the results on Wednesday were that I was definately pregnant my HCG level was 251 and my progesterone was greater than 40.  I don't go back until Monday - But my worry is that on and off I have been experiencing like lower abdominal cramps and lower back cramps - anyone experience this and be fine - I am so afraid of miscarrying.  As we got pregnant in June 2005 and miscarried at 7 weeks and then we got pregnant again February 2008 and then miscarried a couple days after the positive blood work.

Cramping is completely normal during early pregnancy, especially as your uterus begins to stretch and grow and pull on the ligaments.  If you are feeling the pains on one side more than another it could be from the corpus luteum cyst on your ovary from where you ovulated.  Unless you are having major crampign (like worse than period cramps) and you are bleeding, I wouldn't worry.

thank you!  I am just so nervous!  I did 4 iui's on clomid before this one and whenever I went for my bw 2 weeks after the IUI they would ask how I felt and I would always say I am so crampy so I know AF is coming - and they would always tell me that AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are about the same - I just want this one to stay put in there so bad that I am really starting to worry myself when I feel the cramps and noticing more discharge - but I did read that that is normal as well as long as it is not brown or pink and its not.

I got pregnant from IUI in early August, and after months of thinking I was pregnant just to get a BFN,  I was convinced that the IUI hadn't worked because I had carmps that felt just like mild period cramps.  I cramped all the way up to about 9 or 10 weeks. I panicked about it at the beginning of course, but everyone said it was normal (including my doctor)  I'm now 21 weeks with a healthy baby boy!  We even had a scare about 6 weeks ago where I started bleeding heavily and cramping, and he's still doing well! (NOT related to the early cramping though!)  Good luck with everything!!!
