cramping question...please respond asap

HELP!!! How do I know if I am cramping due to ligament stretching or if I migh be having a miscarriage??? My cramps are all across my lower abdomen. If it was af, I'd be taking midol, curling up on th coach with a heating pad and resting. I am quite uncomfortable and debating going to the hospital, but I know they won't be able to do anything...no u/s tech on call.

I had AF like cramping in early pregnancy, to the point where all I wanted to do was lay down with the heating pad on (and I did).  The cramping was in the 4-6 weeks along range.  After that, the cramping went away, until now - I am 13 1/2 weeks and getting more cramping but it isn't anything like AF, more like ligament stretching.  The cramping could definitly be your uterus expanding, but I would go to the ER or call the doctor to be sure.

I dont know how far along you are but around 14 weeks I got the same thing.. REALLY painful cramping.. it was actually just my ligaments stretching and I haven't felt it since.  You could try calling your doctors office.  Maybe they could help ease your mind.

No. I just feel like i wanna curl up and jam my fist in my abdomen to make the pain go away

I don't know what to say because I'm not sure what's going on. Did you pull a muscle or move weird at any point in time? I know that I've gotten sharp pains when I've moved my body weird.

Hmmm...that is unusual that they don't have an u/s tech on call...Can't a doctor perform one...I'd go but just because of your history (and mine)...maybe I'm a little to aggressive with this stuff...I'm sure other people would tell you to relax, stay calm and rest and call your doctor...but I'd go...Prayers and hugs!
