Vanilla cake batter. Is it safe to eat?? Serious question

Eat it girl!!! I went crazy over raw cookie dough and I was fine. Just try not to eat too much like maybe only a big spoonful or two. Not the whole bowl

actually, raw flour poses a much higher risk of salmonella than raw egg. so, unfortunately, I would still avoid the batter if it has raw batter (if you are using a box mix, I don't know what to tell you). the salmonella outbreak in the U.S. a couple of years ago from people eating raw Pillsbury cookie dough was from the flour, not egg...just fyi. I guess

You run the risk of being exposed the salmonella. I still eat some batter every now and then. Lol
