dating US today!

I had my first ultrasound today. Due to hypothyroidism, we weren't sure how far along I was, they thought, because of my lmp, that I would be 13 weeks 4 days. They were wrong, and I'm actually 11 weeks 5 days. But I got some great pictures of my little baby. Heart rate was 165, which the doctor said was healthy. Yay! :)

I live in Minnesota, actually. I'm actually very interested in this, so I'll have to look it up when I'm not ill. Haha

If it was your TSH they were testing then yes, I'm pretty sure thats normal. I want to say normal range is 0.5-4.5 is normal but you should call your Dr and ask. Do you know what all they were testing for exactly like T3 T4 TSH? Probably all of those.

Yeah, you should look it up. Thyroid disorders  are becoming so comon these days due to all the fluoride in the water and increased levels of radiation around us and most people don't even know they have it. Just curious, are either of you from California, Hawaii,  Alaska, Oregon,  Washington, or the West Coast area in general? I ask because  those are the state that are being most effected and have the highest radiation contaminites in the US due to the Fukushima nuclear accident caused by a huge tsunami in Japan in 2011. It's really interesting stuff. You should google what is Fukushima and how its radiation is effecting us and also look up the iodine deficiency and cause of throid disorders due to it. The Nascent Iodine I was telling you about earlier that me and my husband take also acts as a shield to protect against radiation exposure. I know that was A LOT of stuff just thown out there lol but it really is interesting and if you have time and are interested you should look it up. Maybe it will cure you :)

I've never heard of taking iodine. I'll look into it, since the only thing I've heard of for my thyroid is to cut out aspartame,  gluten, and soy, which has worked wonders, but it wasn't fixing the problem fully. Maybe that's what I need now. Hmm. I hope that was the missing piece! I hate synthroid so much, so I would love to stop taking it.

Have you ever thought about maybe taking an iodine supplement for your hypothyroidism? It's supposed to be really good for your thiroid. Supposedly fluoride and iodine have almost the same chemical make up and the body mistakes the fluoride in water for iodine so the flouride attaches to the thiroid instead of the iodine because your body has so much more fluoride. Me and my husband don't have thyroid issues but we both take a Nascent Iodine supplement every day.

It's not that much higher, I doubt it's a bad thing. You could always call your nurse, and ask if you're worried though. :) the doctors were super surprised I even got pregnant! I was untreated, because the medication made me feel so crappy, even after months of taking it, so I stopped, for almost a year. I didn't get periods, or anything for majority of that time, but then I got one in Feb. Then nothing. I assumed it was my thyroid that did it to me, so I thought nothing of it. I found out at, well, I guess 7 weeks now, which the doctors keep saying is super late to find out, and that I should have known sooner. Lol. I told them I'm a medical miracle, and to not think too much into my case, cos I can't even explain half the crap that's in it.
