Some men just can't handle it. My dad was in the room for my mom during a c section. but as soon as he walked past the little curtain to the nurse that was trying to hand me to him, he saw all the blood etc of the surgery and basically fainted. He hit a gurney on the way down and broke his nose. Lol talk about an eventful birth story. Maybe you can talk to him and your doctor about a way he won't have to see the gross part.
He doesn't have to watch to be in the delivery room. He can stay up by your head and not look down there if that's his concern but I would be upset if my husband didn't want to be there with me for our baby my husband has been in the room with each of my kids and will be for this one as well and I have csections and he's never even blinked an eye at the thought of being there.
Some guys think its gross to see stuff like that . but talk about y'all options he doesn't have to see it to b n the room . he can hold your hand etc
I would've been upset & he shouldn't let you do it alone
To be honest you need good support in this. Invite a close family member/friend but leave it open to him. Things change on the day. Don't take it to heart he's probably just nervous and not sure what to expect.
