that's interesting. I would agree that it could weaken your immune system. I have been sick numerous times while on my period....but I have always had a very weak immune system in general, so not sure if it's just me or if my period use to play a part in that. but that's something to think about and look into.

Since we're on this subject- I have noticed something that I have told a couple of people about but they thought I was crazy.  It seems like if I am exposed to germs, like a cold in the wintertime, etc., that if it's around the time of my period I will get sick with it.  But other times I don't get sick as often.  I know doctors would probably say no way, but I think my period weakens my immune system.  Just a thought I wanted to throw out there.  :)

I did feel like I had the flu. My 14 yr old plays football for the middle school and I remember being at his game and soooooooo NOT wanting to be there. I was telling one of the other moms I thought I might be getting sick with the flu and it was kicking my butt. Turns out we were probably about 3 wks then. Funny thing, my husband took me to lunch and that mom was there....I hadn't seen her since. I told her "some flu, huh?" I was 10 wks before I knew I was preggo...

The bad thing about the this time of the year is that it could really be the flu. I would say the only way to know for sure is to test. I felt like I had a bad cold. I was going to take so meds and they said to naot take if you are pregnant so I decided to test to make sure I wasnt and to my suprise I was!!! Now I am 21w 5d !!!! YAY Lots of baby dust*************

Thank you guys for the input
I know it is still early since i am only 8dpo.
I did have a temp yesterday and that is why they
sent me home but today it is back down to 99.5
which is still high for me but i think maybe it is because
of the progesterone but that confuses me too becuase last
month it was 31.7 and i didn't feel this way and this month it
is only 14.98. Do you know when you can get a hcg test done
im prob still to early

My mom has gotten like that with every pregnancy she has had. I found out I was pregnant with this one maybe 5 days before my period was due. A day or two later I had a cold and then got post nasal drip....yuck! I hear it's pretty common to be sick or have a cold when you are pregnant or even before you find out. Have you tested yet?
