I'm dilated to 3cm and 60% thinned. I have not felt one contraction yet. I do however have slight cramps every now and then but there not painful at all just annoying:) I have 3 days to have him or I will be induced Tuesday morning:) I'm 39+2 today:)

What stinks for me is I have an extra sensitive nervous system. I feel every single Braxton Hicks. I'm only 16 weeks and I get about 2 a day so far... Staying in my third trimester each Braxton Hicks will start to get painful enough to feel like labor. Happened my last pregnancy and Dr said it will probably feel the same...

So yes, you can still be dilating even if you aren't feeling any contractions

Ya last time I dilated and never felt any contractions. This time I'm 35 weeks, I haven't been checked for dilation yet, but the app keeps saying stuff about Braxtons, but again, I haven't felt them this time either

What happens is during the first stages of dilation, it's the Braxton Hicks contractions causing you to dilate. Must women don't feel them, and so don't realize they are dilating. It's your body preparing for labor contractions that will just push out the baby!
