does having an anterior placenta increase your chances of developing any other placenta problems?

i posted this in the maternal and child forum yesterday and no one has responded yet.  i know not as many people are on here on the weekends...  but there seems to be a little bit more activity in this forum today, so here goes.................

i was told at my u/s on friday that my placenta was anterior.  i've read that having an anterior placenta is not necessarily uncommon...  but if your uterus is scarred from previous c-sections it could possibly attach itself to your scar.  i have had 3 c-sections since 2003 and will be having my 4th in june.  does anyone know if the placenta being anterior increase your chances of developing placenta accreta?  i am 24wks and 2 days right now.

also, does your placenta really move?  if i do not currently have placenta previa (or accreta) can it actually move to become one of those things?

Is anterior placenta mean that the placenta is on the outer wall of the abdomen? If so I have the same thing. The doc told me mine was on the outer abdominal wall and that the babies were kicking it (i've got twins in there) and thats why i didn't feel so many kicks because they were kicking the placenta. Anyways i was told it was no problem and would not affect anything so if its the same thing i'm talking about I think you will have no issues?

I have an anterior placenta, and my sister did as well.  There is nothing wrong with it, but I don't actually know now if it has moved or not.  I probably won't because we're done with ultrasounds.  The only scary part was not feeling the baby move until about week 25.  If it's placenta previa, then a C-section is in order, if it doesn't move by the time of delivery.  My baby's head is down, and the doctor has not mentioned anything about it,  so I believe everything is okay.  If the doctor has concerns, he/she will check.
