I believed its said that healthier women have a better chance of conceiving. Not 100% its true though. But if you want to convince its advised to take prenatals asap to so that you and your baby have all the nutrients you need:)

I understand everyone, I have also had two miscarriages the last one was diagnosed with Turner syndrome:( (1 in a 1000 chance happening) I have a 22 month old son who has a 6p.21 deletion and has some issues but doing just fine, found out I have the same deletion... ( there r no other cases reported in the world with this deletion!!! My fiance and I just want to give my son a sibling, so we r now pregnant again as doctors say its in our favor of having a healthy baby I'm so scared I usually miscarry between 8-11 wks:(( I want to b excited bout this pregnancy but its soo hard.

I have seen a lot of women on here get pregnant with a thyroid condition and other conditions on top of this, don't give up or get frustrated, pregnancy is still possible.  Prenatal vitamins can never hurt.  Preparing your body for pregnancy even when you are not pregnant helps build up your vitamin stores and eliminate some deficiencies that you might have.

You don't just have to stop there either, you can also look at your eating and exercise behavior and make sure you are taking care of yourself all around.  Pregnancy demands a lot on us, so it's good training to get our bodies and our minds prepped for it.

So I just found out that I have thyroid problems and we have been trying to have a baby for almost two years now.  I feel a bit depressed because everytime we feel it could happen, something comes up. I just need some support from peope that know what Im going through.  A friend told me to start taking prenatal to help my body get ready.... Just wondering wht your thoughts were.

After my ectopic in March the dr advised me to continue taking the prenatal because its gives your body ahead start on ttc and gives it a healthy environment for the sperm and egg. And if you do concieve your body is not trying to play catch up with the vitamins. Good Luck

And to when you go for a checkup see if there is anything else standing in your way of conceiving, ask about your progesterone levels and your cervix.

I'm so glad to hear that things are starting to get back to normal.  Ugh it's frustrating indeed.  For me it was like one thing I had to deal with the physical aspect of a miscarriage and then the emotional part at the same time.  Each week got a little bit better than before.  So hang in there.

Well you see the thing is i had spotting from 8 wks to 10 wks and had a blood clot size of prolly two quarters...but some old lady that was my prenatal dr for my first check up at the indian hospital, that couldnt find the heartbeat the first time said it was lack of calcium but i always drank milk ate cheese and whaadever regularly because i like em! and they was suppose to help..but i was told that that wasnt the case by my gyno at the city hospital he said thats when the M/C could have been taking place and she shouldnt have told me that because it would've helped me get faster results of a m/c rather then waiting a month later...but besides that fact i didnt start my period so i had a D&C..but hopefully everything goes well within time :) thanks

As the others said, prenatals won't increase your fertility, but they will give your body what it needs for when you do get pregnant. Just make sure to listen your doctor in regards to the D&C and don't have sex for at least another week. You put yourself at high risk of infection (which can cause fertility issues), among other things. If it had been a natural miscarriage you could have tried immediately, but since you had a D&C, usually you are told to wait 1-3 cycles to allow your body time to heal. Not doing so will increase your odds of miscarriage, because the uterus hasn't had time to heal and the lining isn't thick enough to support a new pregnancy.

Prenatal vitamins don't make you more fertile (I don't think anyways), they just help you give the right nutrients to a developing baby. Like Seattle said, just take care of yourself so you are healthy for your next pregnancy.
I had a D&C on May 6 (I was somewhere around 8-12 weeks preg). I bleed on and off for about a week and a half. It then took me about 4 weeks to get my period and 2 weeks after that I am pretty sure I ovulated.
Just take care of yourself and keep taking your vitamins. If you are really wanting to get pregnant right away try to figure out when you are ovulating so you BD at the right time. Women are usually ovulate somewhere around 14 days after first day of their period. A lot of women on here will say to start BD everyday starting around 10 days after just to make sure you don't miss it.
Good Luck!!

Thanks, I hope it helps I've started eating through out the day so I wouldn't get hungry without thinking about it unlike when I was preg. I haven't started smoking, partying or stressing...I believe I'm still healthy&am tryn to take walks in the evenings with taking prenatals daily..I've still had bleeding lightly, on and off since a hlf a wk before my d&c and its continuing since even after so for about two weeks...have any ideas? Of thoughts about it?

What I did to help increase my fertility after a miscarriage was lessened my stress, cut out the coffee, and took a prenatal vitamin and made sure that I was eating enough.  I also made sure I was not over-doing my exercise.  I don't know if this helped or not but we got pregnant about 3 months later.  Good luck, keep us posted!
