I definitely say you can! I did with my first. Put up his cot, moses basket, pushchair, bouncer, etc etc all that stuff and even walked my dogs, and my waters had broken and stay at home for 12 hrs before i went to the hosp. Of course it depends on your pain tolerance but moving definitely helps the pain and gets things going.
Yes you can. At least in early labor. Staying active is one of the best ways to keep labor going and keep it from being too painful.
Contraction pain doesnt get super painful until your water breaks! So as long as that doesnt happen you should be able to get your self ready to go! Plus once your water breaks every movement causes fluid to come out. Just make sure you have the diaper bag and your hospital bag as put together as you can. Maybe make a list of last minute things(phone, charger, tooth brush, ect.) and put it on the fridge or something.
Everyone is different some women labor doesn't bother them at all others they are screaming for an epidural immediately. My experience labor isn't too much til you hit transition phase (7+ cm constant contractions) I would think you will be OK butyou wwon't know for sure til it happens. Best of luck :)
In the beginning of labor you will be able to do things but when you get further into active labor they get more painful and disabling. but in all honesty, i would pack everything you are going to need for the hospital now so that way when you do start having contractions you only have to worry about a shower, eating, and relaxing because TRUST ME youre going to want to rest or you will regret it after delivery. After you go through labor youre going to want to love on your baby but if youre doing everything but relaxing before its time to go into L&D then youre going to be too exhausted after labor!
Yes you should be able to. Some women even drive. I wouldn't recommend driving but you will be able to function before it's time to go to the hospital.
This is my 2nd LO and I'm 23weeks. Ic was able to laugh a little between the contractions.
Depends on your pain tolerance, contractions are a pain I can't describe. But they hurt because it's back to back. Just make sure your hospital bag is packed ahead of time and have someone you know on call.
