I agree with the ladies.... Not a good idea, and it really doesnt work.... I tried this with my last pregnancy around 39 1/2 weeks and its did NOTHING for me but give me cramps and I was running to the bathroom all day.....Good luck and hang in there!

I agree with everyone else. 37 weeks is too early to be trying old woves tales.
I drank the castor oil with my daughter and all it did was give me the worst cramps and the ***** for about 4 hours. It was AWFUL!

Well me personally if you are already 37 wks i would just wait til my due date. i have heard a lot of old wise tails too but when itcomes to something as sensitive as this i would do everything that I could to make sure that all goes as smoothly and safely as possible. And even with a schedued c-section they do not like to take the baby earlier than a week. The last month is when the baby does all his/her weight gainnig and development is complete. So just think carefully about everything. Wish you all the best and a safe and smooth delivery! Good Luck

For starters that stuff DOES NOT work! Other women will say it does but if it did for them, it was a coincidence and nothing more. I tried this my first go around and all it did was make me run for the bathroom for a full day. It gives the worst cramps too, mine lasted for two days non stop. I was 38 weeks when I tried this and was still induced at 40weeks. All you will get from trying the castor oil is uncomfortable and in severe pain. Your baby will not come out until he/she is ready, no matter what you do. Some of my friends have also attempted the castor oil and it did not throw them into labor. Their results were the same as mine. Also at 37 weeks your baby is still small and could come out having trouble with breathing or eating. hope this helps.

I wouldnt try anything crazy to induce labor just yet! I know being pregnant can be tiring and your probably ready for your little one to get here, but your baby needs to keep growing inside your belly for a few more weeks. I got a thing in the mail yesterday describing all the benefits the baby gets in the womb in just the last couple of weeks. Just think if your due date is off and your really due a week or two later, then your baby might be 4 to 5 weeks early. Please just wait.
Plus Ive heard that castor oil with just make you have really bad cramps and poop a lot. Do you really want to go through that and then possibly not even go into labor?

No. You're only 37 weeks, why would you want your baby now? Pregnancy is dated to 40 weeks for a reason. If born now, your baby has a chance of breathing issues, and sucking problems. I understand it's long (trust me. I spent 9 months vomiting nonstop) but pregnancy is not meant to be comfortable. Baby comes when they want to.

I should also mention that even drinking this is not going to do anything but make YOU uncomfortable. Nothing will work until your body is ready for labour--and when it is baby will be born.
