early labour?

I am 38weeks preg and on sun morn me n my partner had sex. I had a small bleed straight after n then light pink discharge for rest of the day. The next morn I lost a lump of Brown tinged mucus which in guessing was my plug. Since the sex I have had painful Braxton hicks on and off. I did have a lot of aching like before u get your period but that has worn off now. Could these be signs of early labour. It's tues night now how ling do u think could take before things actually happen? Thanks

I just got back froma CTG scan that confirmed I'm in early labour. Just gotta hope it doesn't fizzle out and keeps progressing so I can have this baby. Keep active... Go for long walks and stay on ur feet, that should help move things along. Xxx

this happened to me. i had contractions for 4 days. very painful ones. so much so that i went to hospital 3 times. each time thinking this is it lol. unfortunately i was dialating very slowly but as a result of my trips to hospital i got 2 early sweeps which helped me along

It very well could be, but you know how this thing goes wait until contractions are like five mins apart and go to the hospital, the truth of the matter is your actually in labor for about a week it just gets more and more noticeable and having sex can make the baby come faster and 38 weeks is pretty normal fetal age to have your baby. i hope i helped.
