epidural

So I've been in labor since Monday night around midnight

Didn't check into the hospital until yesterday around 10am they sent me home and I came back around 8pm been here since
Got the epidural around 1am the first one didn't kick in Right so I got another one about 45 mins later.

I swear I slept like a new born baby lol ..
But I was wondering what are the site effects of the epidural that any of you guys have experienced ?

Because right now my lower half is really numb (which is good for these contractions)
But what are other side effects you guys experienced

II had my epidural taken out at 9pm after having aemergency c section with my son. The only complaint that I had after it was removed was I was very shakey, cold, and that night I wasn't able to sleep a wink because my face was unbearablely itchy!! The itch finally went away the next day but oh my it drove me crazy. Felt like ants were crawling all over my face lol

The side affects I had after the epidural was these really painful back aches. Even months after, little things I did killed me. Like sweeping & standing too long & I'm only 20.

The first time they did mine it only numbed my right side so they had to do it again. When they did it again I couldn't move my right side on my own. When I needed to turn they had to help me it felt like a ton of bricks on me

The only does effect I had after was a head ache but that can also be linked with pushing

They should discuss side effects with you, but the most common one is a head ache after. Lots of people claim back pain, but a lot of Drs say that's from pregnancy/pushing/labour, not the epidural. I had one with my daughter and had zero complications or side effects. It was wonderful :)
