Thanks for the feed back
But yes I was completely numb on both sides for hours
Now it's just my left
But I am now 9.5cm feeling lots of pressure .. So baby should be here soon ..
II had my epidural taken out at 9pm after having aemergency c section with my son. The only complaint that I had after it was removed was I was very shakey, cold, and that night I wasn't able to sleep a wink because my face was unbearablely itchy!! The itch finally went away the next day but oh my it drove me crazy. Felt like ants were crawling all over my face lol
I experienced horrible back pain in the area I couldnt even touch I but that lasted 2 days and now its been 3 weeks and nothing
The side affects I had after the epidural was these really painful back aches. Even months after, little things I did killed me. Like sweeping & standing too long & I'm only 20.
The first time they did mine it only numbed my right side so they had to do it again. When they did it again I couldn't move my right side on my own. When I needed to turn they had to help me it felt like a ton of bricks on me
The only does effect I had after was a head ache but that can also be linked with pushing
I didn't have any side effects either.
Good luck momma.
They should discuss side effects with you, but the most common one is a head ache after. Lots of people claim back pain, but a lot of Drs say that's from pregnancy/pushing/labour, not the epidural. I had one with my daughter and had zero complications or side effects. It was wonderful :)
