You shouldnt take baths at the end of your pregnancy bc of this is what I heard.

My water broke while sleeping at 36 weeks 5 days (obviously it woke me up lol), and my labor never progressed on its own. I didn't get any contractions until they gave me pitocin.

Agreed most ladies feel contractions and all that junk beforehand I was one of the lucky one that never felt anything but 2 contractions that were like 20 minutes apart and 20 minutes later my water broke.

I was pushing my baby out and she had to break my water...I didn't feel it, either.

It is not very likely for your water to break before the onset of labor. It happens, but it's not as common as the tv/movies make it out to be. 2ndly,  if your water does break in the bathtub/shower, it won't just come in a big gush and be done. You will experience a slow trickle or small gushes of fluid for some time after it actually breaks due to the babies head stopping the full release of fluid. You'll know :) I've had 3 kids and have never had my water break before active labor.

I felt when my water broke but not all women do. Mine I felt a pop and I also heard it. Kind of like if a balloon was inside your vaj and popped.
